Vollmar, Birgit, Noahs Kinder. Die Glaubensbewegung der Noachiden in der Gegenwart. Marburg 2011. (Tectum-Verlag, 522 S.)

The rescue of Noah and his family from the Flood ranks among the most well-known biblical stories. In it God not only establishes a covenant with Noah himself, but also offers loyalty and salvation to all mankind. Genesis, and above all the Jewish Talmud, name the prerequisites. For many centuries the seven commandments of Noah were only discussed in Jewish theology as divine instructions for non-Jews, as a Torah for all peoples. In the recent past a new faith has developed on this basis.

This is the first monograph to dedicate itself to Noahides (Noah's Children) comprehensively, and on a scientific basis. Birgit Vollmar outlines the Community's history and its traditions and provides an insight into the life of the believers based on the seven commandments of Noah. This treatise also deals with the relationship of Jewish theologians and Judaism as a whole towards the Noahide Movement.

The study itself is written in German, but it includes extracts from the Noachide-Questionnaire-Project (2008) as well as many quotations in English.
