  • Passover - We remember the deliverance of God's people from the Bondage of Egypt.
  • Days of Unleavened Bread - We remember that the exodus took place so quickly that their bread did not have time to rise.
  • Shavuot - Celebrates the Ratification of the "Book of The Covenenant" at Sinai and the giving of the Torah.
  • 15th of Av - Celebrates the Rededication of The Covenant before entering the Holy Land at the end of the 40 years od wandering in the wilderness.
  • Rosh Hashanah - Celebration of Creation and the Birth of Mankind.
  • Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement
  • Sukkot - Otherwize known as "Feast of Tabernacles"
  • Shemini Atzeret - The 8th day of Assembly - after Sukkot ends and is often combined with Simchat Torah.
  • Simchat Torah - Rejoicing of the Torah - marks the end of the Torah Parsha Reading Cycle and the Beginning of the New.
  • Chanukah - Festival of Lights commemorates the rededication of the Temple at the time of the Maccabees.
  • Purim - A Celebration of victory over the wicked Haman who plotted to cause the destruction of the People of God in the days of the Persian Queen Esther.
