15th of Av - Celebrates the Rededication of The Covenant before entering the Holy Land at the end of the 40 years od wandering in the wilderness.
Rosh Hashanah - Celebration of Creation and the Birth of Mankind.
Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement
Sukkot - Otherwize known as "Feast of Tabernacles"
Shemini Atzeret - The 8th day of Assembly - after Sukkot ends and is often combined with Simchat Torah.
Simchat Torah - Rejoicing of the Torah - marks the end of the Torah Parsha Reading Cycle and the Beginning of the New.
Chanukah - Festival of Lights commemorates the rededication of the Temple at the time of the Maccabees.
Purim - A Celebration of victory over the wicked Haman who plotted to cause the destruction of the People of God in the days of the Persian Queen Esther.
